Regarding Lost & Found

Regarding Lost & Found

Postby Melody Shatto » Thu May 28, 2009 1:13 pm

The Lost & Found is now up to two bins when I packed it up with the part. station things on monday morning, the only things I brought home with me were two digital cameras left at PEX and one cell phone, if they are yours, PM me, describe them in detail and I will mail to you...now on to the two bins left, mostly was clothing, towels and some costume gear, for the Fall I am going to hang things up behind the volunteer schedules on hangers to make it easier to go thru the Lost & Found for everyone and not make such a mess on the ground ;-)

On monday morning when I went up to the Part. station, just about everything was out of the bins and on the ground, I am hoping this new system will make it easier to reclaim lost belongings, am also thinking that clothing items not claimed/posted/logged beforehand should be washed and donated to the Salvo., Red Cross or wherever after two burns of living in the Lost & Found, I know that some of these things in the Lost & Found have been in there for several burns and I would just like to get a bit more of an organized system for the Lost & Found.

Also, if you lost anything, let me know, I will log it, look for it and put it aside in the fall for you.

Any ideas anyone may have for the Lost & Found I would love to hear!

Hey, I need to sign up for participation station this fall... well, I lose stuff every time, and no big delieos but *maybe* some of my stuff is there! Plus I'm volunteering up for stuff because I wasted so much time last spring.

What if we donate the unclaimed items, especially clothing, to one of the costume camps instead of Salvation Army/Red Cross? That way the clothing can be re-gifted to the community and continue to share in the fabulousness that other people lost.

;-) Surprising the energy Fogies have, eh ;)

Got thru the entire bin this past weekend and just about everything was just non-descript clothing (tees and a few hoodies mostly, a few shirts that if not claimed, I have decided to then donate to our local homeless shelter, and I also think most of what was in the bin was still stuff from spring lost and found too, did not find any button either...there is one large size renaissancey looking dress in there that I did find too!

Hi smelly,

I sent you an E-mail as well but i just wanted to post on here to make sure you saw one of them. You said you found 2 cameras? I lost an HP camera it is black on the back with a small display screen and brushed metal on the front. It is a little messed up and you have to push the lens in all the way when you turn it off so that it will pop back out right when yo turn it on. If this is one of the cameras you have found please contact me either through E mail at leviathan173@gmail.com or call at 443 850 0723. Thanks again and I hope to talk to you soon.

Just figured out why you posted about 2 found cameras, that was last spring 2009 and they were both returned to their rightful owners after last spring burn.

I lent out a blue chinese fan with a long blue silk tail on it - the fan was covered with sequins... and the chic i lent it to lost it during a blissful night on the playa. No hard feelings - I lose 1 of these a burn - but if it showed up in lost and found I'd love to have it back!

I also lost my MD Identification card - no, not a license - but an ID card - was in a pocket of a coat I lent out and then the coat didn't return to me for 1.5 days... coat was found in Bat Country
