PDF SPRING 2017: May 25 - 29
Note: These hours are for those who do not have a wrist band. If you've already checked in and have a wrist band you are welcome to come and go at any hour. However, you will not be able to bring your car on site to load/unload during closed ticketing hours.
Sometimes against every bit of planning and prep, you can still get hung up and not make it to the gate in time. If this happens to you, you aren't able to hang out on site (even in the parking lot), but there are some options of things for you to do while you wait for the gate to open the following morning.
Please note, these options are suggestions only and PDF makes no claims about their safety or validity. Others in the community may have ideas, too. If you think you may need a Plan B, do a little research first.
Delaware's Route 1, at exit 119 ("N..Smyrna") has a 24-hr public Rest Area (off US Rt13 technically). Follow the blue signs and it is well-lit. Indoor potties, vending machines? Although it says No Overnight Camping, that means no tents, no partying, no fires. Napping in your vehicle is the reason the rest areas exist. Do NOT pick up hitchhikers. There is a prison along this route (glow at night visible from Rt 1 and PDF).
