There's been some talk about another site improvement weekend about two weeks before PDF, and one of the things that'd be great to get accomplished is chopping up some trees and producing our own firewood. The wood would have to sit and wait to be properly seasoned till fall burn. Foamy aka Wendell is working on it. Anyone want to join in?

Hugs and Matches,

J

It's a little too far off to say for sure. But I'm most likely in!

I can assist with this and also provide an old reliable Stihl chainsaw, gas/oil, a smaller electric chainsaw good for trimming off the small branches.

Due to lack of OOOOMPH or interest, it looks like we'll have to cancel the site improvement weekend this time around. Next fall we can try again, and P.J. came up with the great idea of installing a permanent sink next to the showers, so we don't have to stand in dirty dishwater anymore.

Wasn't there some improvement made by the vets to the dish sink? I thought there was a concrete slab with a drain now or something. I don't do dishes at PDF much though, I could be mistaken.

They moved the sink to balance it precariously over the trench. It drains better, but it's still nasty, and I've been setting up an orange cone in the trench so people don't get too close and slide in. Ewwwwwww.

Where would the sink drain into? Is there a trench nearby? we don't want to create another mud pit in a different
location.

It'd go into the sewer/septic system on site...wherever the showers drain. We could get really whacky and even add a garbage disposal.
