Ok... someone explain it to me.

WHAT. THE. FUCK. HAPPENED.

Spring was PERFECT.

Fall the cops got called.. AGAIN.

I'm tired. And sick. And cranky. And I would like someone to step up and own up to what went wrong this burn. Mark Nyon was sound marshall I believe. So between him or his team, I would reeeeeally like to know where it broke down this time around, when Spring was so perfect that all we heard all weekend was how awesome it was to have sound under control and have the ability to sleep, and that it felt happier and lighter and more FUN when you didn't have to scream at each other to have a conversation.

And beyond THAT, I'm sick and tired of dealing with SOUND. Respecting each other doesn't end at the gate or the tree line. The neighbor might be part of "default" world, but aren't we in a place where we're trying to bring the good yummy awesomeness of our community into our not at a burn lives - and we honor that HOW? By disrespecting the Vets, and their neighbors - over and over and over?

For the most part sound was better than in the pass. Thursday night sucked, Sunday night was the same way. Most camps turned it down at midnight and then keeped boosting the levels back up. So was anyone busted? or a warning, Or a gold star taking away? How about posting the bad boys names?

I just remember the radio chatter on Saturday. Did not know about the cops until today. Did the traffic lights work right?

Worst of all, Pineapple said he was ignored by a sound camp when he told them to turn it off.

The only sound complaint I saw was very late Saturday night (just before 4am), when Pineapple came over to Mischief to ask us to turn off the poofers on the propane dancefloor. Apparently, they could be heard at the back gate and sounded like bass. While, looking back on the situation, I doubt the sound carried that far, there was no argument from anyone I saw, and the poofers were turned off. I went to bed at 4:30am, and don't remember hearing much noise in general. It seemed pretty quiet compared to past events... However, I can't speak to Sunday night since we left after everything burned.

Hi,

This is Mark Nyon.

Yes, we ended up having sound issues this fall.

Things did not go as smoothly as springtime.

I'm going to put together a report that will be released to the community about the details of what happened with sound this fall, both good and bad (and there was both).

Mark, I'd love to include your afterburn report in the next PC meeting.

Pineapple said he went to a camp early Saturday morning by the barn (I think it was Camp Echo) and he told them to turn it down. When he walked away, they just turned it back up again. But who ever is dealing with sound should really speak to him about it to get more details.
