Our next PC meeting is approaching!

Date: Sunday, June 12
Time: 12 noon

Call-in information: 1-712-432-3100, code is 833217

We will mostly be focusing on reviewing After Burn reports from and discussing this spring's burn.

Meetings are open to anyone in our community, all you have to do is call in to participate! We follow the agendas pretty closely, so be sure to submit any items you want to talk about below (and by the agenda deadline) to get them on this meeting's agenda. More information on how PC meetings are run can be found on the PDF website: http://playadelfuego.org/planningcommittee

All agenda items (e.g., After Burn reports!) are due on FRIDAY June 10 by 5PM.

Two afterburn notes:

1) We could use more hand carts, perhaps as many as six. The two old ones are looking pretty beaten up and have been around for some time. They have served us well, but we could use more, especially with as many carry in/carry out burns we've had in recent years.

2) We could use a couple of push brooms for DPW use and for general shower use. I've had to borrow brooms repeatedly from the Vets to clean up the stage, the pavilion and what not. Borrowing from the Vets just seems so un-cool, and I don't have room in my car to carry one in.

Brooms are likely not a problem in terms of storage, but do you know if there's actually any room in the shed for more large items (like hand carts)? It's pretty full in there. From what I saw I doubt we could get more hand carts in there (at least not in that quantity).

(Posting for Jillnado!)

Jill says (in response to the cart-buying discussion):

"If we get plastic ones, we should be able to tarp them and leave them outside the shed. Or we can ask the Vets for a little room in their barn. Shouldn't be too much trouble, I think."

(Posting for Jillnado again!)

Jill also said to me that she's ready to take over as Pony Wrangler again (unless someone else wants it?). Her information is that our prior Pony Wrangler, Devin, is stepping away from that job now.

And from me, Owsla: Please shout out now if you're capable and hungry to be the new Pony Wrangler and want to chat with Jill and peeps about the job. :)

Could we please include call in # and conference code in the agenda? (I realize that yeah, it's in this thread, but it'll help with the inevitable last minute "wait, what's the call-in number?!?" texting/messaging...)
